With a statement released by The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on Thursday, Nigerian world record holder, Tobi Amusan has been cleared of all doping violations and had the suspension placed on her in July for whereabouts failures – missing three tests within a calendar year, lifted.
The statement read:
“A panel of the Disciplinary Tribunal, by majority decision, has today found that Tobi Amusan has not committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) of three Whereabouts Failures within a 12-month period.”
The 26-year-old can now finally heave a sigh of relief after the tribunal cleared her of all anti-doping violations. The 2023 World Athletics Championships begins on Saturday in Budapest.
